Judges-Speakers and Press-Secretaries of the High Anti-Corruption Court Participated in the Training on Effective Court Communications

The USAID New Justice Program Communications Expert Benjamin Wilson, the former spokesperson for the United Kingdom Supreme Court, shared with High Anti-Corruption Court judges-speakers and press-secretaries his experience of effective interaction of courts with media and the public.

When doing practical exercises, the participants learned about the means of communicating the values of the court, mastered the skills of pro-active and proper response to crisis situations, including those arising during the consideration of high-profile cases, and learned how to use the social networks to tell the story of the court and its communication with society. The training program also included preparation for media interviews, the practice of writing quality releases and news reports, as well as methods to develop the court internal communication culture consistent with its mission and values.
