Law School Female Students Reviewed Women Leadership Aspects

The USAID New Justice Program held a Women Empowerment Session for Female Law School Students of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The USAID New Justice Program Expert Victoria Pratt, a former Chief Judge of Newark Municipal Court, New Jersey, U.S.A. shared the experience of women’s leadership and reviewed its aspects. Ms. Pratt told to female students how they should perceive criticism and how positive/negative thinking and environment affect decision making as well as how to identify toxic interpersonal relationships hindering attainment of life goals.

The event participants came to conclusion about the importance of mentorship in this matter and doing a practical goal-setting exercise to foster confidence and leadership skills in young women-lawyers. They found answers to complex questions regarding positioning themselves in a competitive environment.
