The High Anti-Corruption Court and USAID New Justice Program Signed a Protocol of Cooperation

The High Anti-Corruption Court and USAID New Justice Program have signed a protocol of cooperation. The program will support the High Anti-Corruption Court in strengthening judicial independence and judicial self-governance, increasing accountability and transparency of the judiciary to citizens and strengthening the rule of law, enhancing administration of justice, as well as expanding access to justice and protecting human rights.

The following priority objectives of cooperation were identified: improving institutional capacity of the court, finalizing the strategic plan of the court for 2019-2021, raising public awareness of the High Anti-Corruption Court’s role in adjudicating fairly the corruption related cases, further professional development of judges and judicial personnel and exposing them to best international practices, supporting the court processes automation applying the latest e-court technologies, and implementing of court performance framework.
