U.S. Federal Judge Timothy Tymkovich Shared His Judicial Leadership Experience with Ukrainian Counterparts

The U.S. Federal Judge, Chief Judge of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals (Denver, Colorado), Timothy Tymkovich, visited Ukraine on the invitation of the USAID New Justice Program. The visit was intended to support joint efforts of international donors and Ukrainian partners of the Program aimed at developing judges’ capacity to advocate and protect judicial independence and achieving court excellence.

At meetings with the leadership and representatives of the Supreme Court, High Anti-Corruption Court, High Council of Justice, and Council of Judges of Ukraine, Judge Tymkovich shared his personal experience and judicial leadership practices. Besides, he discussed with Ukrainian counterparts activities of judicial self-governance bodies including those in the sphere of asserting judicial independence and ensuring compliance with judicial ethics rules.
