USAID New Justice Program Congratulates the Judges and Staff of the High Anti Corruption Court on its First Anniversary

Overcoming corruption is the reform Ukrainian society expects most with the High Anti‑Corruption Court (HACC) playing a key role in this process by impartial consideration of corruption-related cases. That is why the public, media, and international community have paid extremely close attention to the Court and its decisions from the very first day of operations.

In these hard times, while responding to numerous challenges, the High Anti-Corruption Court has focused on ensuring that justice is administered with respect for the fundamental rights and liberties of individuals.

During the first year of operations, the USAID New Justice Program supported ongoing professional development programs for HACC judges and court staff together with the National School of Judges and assisted in the development and implementation of the Court’s communication policies and procedures.

We wholeheartedly congratulate the High Anti-Corruption Court team on its first anniversary and extend our gratitude for our results-oriented cooperation. We are certain that your leadership, professionalism, and dedication will continue to promote the core values that you identified which are critically important for Ukrainians: human rights and rule of law, right to fair trial, judicial independence, right to appeal a court judgement, transparency and openness of court proceedings.

We wish the High Anti-Corruption Court continued success in meeting its mission and contributing to greater public trust and confidence in the judiciary.
