The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MOE) is a central state executive body that shapes and implements state policies in the field of education and science, in particular legal education. The MOE plays a leading role in the Ukrainian legal education reform. In fact, the USAID New Justice Program works jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science to reform the legal education, in particular, the Program has supported the development of draft Concept for Legal Education Reform, draft National (Bachelor) Legal Education Standard, Methodology for Evaluation of Legal Education Quality Assurance, and External Independent Evaluation for ObtainingMaster’s Degree in Law.In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science,the Ministry of Justiceis involved in organizing training, re-training and advanced trainingfor law professionalsconducted at theeducational institutions regardless of their ownership and subordination; provides recommendations on legal staff training; and submits proposals to the relevant education management bodies for the improvement of activities related to law studies in educational institutions.
