The Office of the President of Ukraine is a permanent subsidiary body, the main task of which is organizational, legal, advisory, informational, expert-analytical, and other support for the exercise by the President of Ukraine of the powers defined by the Constitution of Ukraine. The Office of the President, in particular, analyzes political, economic, social, humanitarian, and other processes taking place in Ukraine and the world. Based on its results, the Office prepares proposals for the President of Ukraine on the formation and implementation of domestic and foreign policy to ensure compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine, human and civil rights and freedoms, state sovereignty, territorial integrity of Ukraine. As well as the Office carries out in the prescribed manner examination of laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, signed by the President, and prepares proposals for signing laws or applying the law veto, etc. Cooperation between the USAID New Justice Program and the Office of the President involves improving justice legislation.
