On April 23, The USAID New Justice Program, in cooperation with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, conducted an online presentation of the Ukrainian language version of the Module Series on Integrity and Ethics for higher education institutions. The training modules were translated into Ukrainian with support from the USAID New Justice Program.
The series consists of 14 modules on integrity and ethics and a handbook for teachers which were developed and reviewed by experts from across the globe as part of the Education for Justice (E4J) Initiative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime. This initiative aims at strengthening the rule of law worldwide by supporting educators to teach on topics related to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 “Peace and Justice”.
The training modules cover such fundamental topics as universal human values; ethics and society; ethical leadership; strategies for ethical actions; gender dimensions of ethics; business integrity and ethics; integrity, ethics, and law; media integrity and ethics; public integrity and ethics; professional ethics, etc. Teaching staff will be able to use them to raise students’ awareness of ethical issues and have students develop the integrity and skills needed to apply and assert these norms in life, work, and society.
