Webinar “Collegial Judicial Decision Making”

On July 13, 2021, the National School of Judges, with assistance from the USAID New Justice Program, and cooperation with the National Judicial College, Reno, USA, conducted the eleventh webinar in the third series of open webinars for judges, judicial clerks, and court staff on “Collegial Judicial Decision Making”.

After this 120-minute webcast, participants should be able to:

  • Identify factors that promote or undermine collegiality;
  • Examine the use of dissenting opinions;
  • Use collegiality as an effective instrument to bring different perspectives of judges (members of the panel) to reach balanced decisions;
  • Write and communicate collegial decisions more clearly.
