On October 21, 2020, the National School of Judges, with assistance from the USAID New Justice Program, and cooperation with the National Judicial College, Reno, USA, conducted the second open webinar on “Fundamental Writing Skills”. This webcast will encourage judges and law clerks to think critically about their writing.
After this webcast, listeners will be able to:
- Know factors affecting collegiality such as: how to avoid difficulty with communication and reach an open communication environment; how to reach needed constancy; mutual respect through sharing ideas, problem-solving; divergent views and equality in the deliberative process; work with a draft decision;
- Diagnose and revise difficult and unclear writing, including findings of fact and conclusions of law;
- Define the relationship between writing and decision making.
